Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • 5 cups romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint
  • 1/3 cup cilantro
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp honey (omit for Whole30)
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts (or cashews if paleo)
  • 1 red thai chili (thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: Blend marinade ingredients in a food processor. Coat the steak and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the salad: In a large bowl, layer romaine lettuce, herbs, cucumber, red onion, and cherry tomatoes.
  3. Grill the steak: Heat a grill pan until hot. Grill marinated steak for about 4 minutes per side until medium rare. Let rest before slicing.
  4. Assemble: Top the salad with steak slices, garnish with peanuts and chili, drizzle with remaining dressing, toss gently, and serve.
