  • 34 Vidalia sweet onions
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup Italian blend cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter or oil.
  3. Layer half of the onion rounds at the bottom of the dish without separating them.
  4. Sprinkle half of each type of cheese over the onions, dot with half the butter pats, and season with half the salt, garlic powder, and oregano.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes; remove foil in the last 10-15 minutes for browning.
