  • 4 cups mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)
  • 14 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted (for glaze)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice (for glaze)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Toast croissant cubes on a baking sheet for 7-10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs, then add half and half, lemon juice, zest, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Layer half of the toasted croissants in a greased baking dish with half the berries; pour half the custard over it. Repeat layers.
  4. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Bake covered for 30 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until set.
  6. Prepare lemon glaze while baking by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla until smooth.
