  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups beef stock
  • 2 large carrots (chopped)
  • 3 medium Yukon gold potatoes (cubed)
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, bay leaf)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with flour, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil and sear the beef on all sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté celery, onions, and garlic in the same pot until soft. Stir in tomato paste and roast beef base; simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add beef stock, red wine, seared beef, and fresh herbs; reduce heat and cover. Cook for about two hours.
  5. Add carrots and potatoes; continue cooking for an additional 30 to 45 minutes until everything is tender.
