  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch, mixed with 1 tbsp water slurry
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 150 g spaghetti or noodles
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in salted water until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. Whisk egg with salt and pepper, coat chicken pieces, then dredge in a mix of flour and cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry chicken until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter, sauté minced garlic briefly, then stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar; thicken with a cornstarch slurry.
  5. Toss fried chicken in the sauce to coat evenly.
  6. Sauté sliced garlic in butter for the noodles; add drained noodles and toss to combine.
  7. Serve hot by plating the noodles topped with sticky chicken bites and garnish with parsley.
