  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 5 ½ cups whole milk
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 4 cups smoked gouda cheese (shredded, divided)
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (shredded, divided)
  • 2 cups Panko bread crumbs
  • 8 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • Fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and butter a 3-quart casserole dish.
  2. Prepare the breadcrumb topping by mixing Panko bread crumbs, crumbled bacon, and thyme in a bowl. Drizzle melted butter over the mixture and toss to combine.
