  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 small red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¾ cup Italian style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ lb deli ham
  • 1215 fresh basil leaves
  • 1¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Sauté chopped onion and bell pepper in olive oil until translucent; add minced garlic.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan, eggs, tomato paste, salt, pepper, parsley, and cooled veggies.
  4. Shape the mixture into an 8"x15" rectangle on parchment paper.
  5. Layer with ham, basil leaves, and mozzarella cheese; roll tightly.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
