  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced or chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, seasoned breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined and form into four oval patties.
  3. Cook patties in the skillet for about 5–6 minutes on each side until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions and mushrooms until tender. Set aside.
  5. Lower heat to medium; melt butter in the skillet, add flour, and stir for 1–2 minutes. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth.
  6. Return patties, onions, and mushrooms to the skillet; simmer for another 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
