Ingredients

  • Platinum Yeast
  • Granulated sugar
  • Whole milk
  • Unsalted butter
  • Egg
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh rosemary (or dried)
  • Shredded cheese (parmesan, mozzarella, or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, combine yeast and sugar. Warm the milk (about 110°F) and pour it over the yeast mixture. Let it sit until frothy (5–10 minutes).
  2. Add softened butter, egg, flour, salt, garlic powder, and rosemary to the yeast mixture. Mix until dough pulls away from sides.
  3. Knead on medium speed for about 5 minutes until slightly tacky yet soft.
  4. Shape into a ball and let rise in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap until doubled in size (60–90 minutes).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter with rosemary, parsley, garlic, and salt.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide into twelve pieces; flatten each piece and spread the filling before folding.
  7. Place folded pieces in a greased loaf pan and let rise again before baking at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
