  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, garlic, salt, oregano, and black pepper. Mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each into a 6-inch rope. Twist them into knot shapes.
  5. Place knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet with space in between.
