Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef steak (sirloin, flank, or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Add beef and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Sear the beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over high heat. Cook marinated beef for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add remaining oil and sauté bell peppers and onion for about 3-4 minutes until tender but crisp.
  4. Add aromatics: Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Combine ingredients: Return beef to the skillet, pour in broth or water, and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving hot.
