  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch and water in a bowl until smooth. Combine with all other sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly oil it.
  4. Place salmon on the sheet and baste with half of the sauce.
  5. Bake for about 14 minutes, checking for flakiness.
  6. Broil for an additional minute after basting again with reserved sauce.
  7. Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
