  • 2 cups Macaroni (uncooked)
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Onion (diced)
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cups Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Dry Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well and press into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  3. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  4. Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente; drain.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour for one minute before gradually whisking in milk until thickened. Add salt, pepper, paprika, dry mustard, and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce and pour over baked meatloaf layer. Sprinkle any remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for an additional 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
