  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 6 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • Additional milk and vanilla for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk with dried lavender until just simmering; let cool slightly.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar in a bowl; add eggs one at a time along with vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with butter mixture alternating with lavender-infused milk.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While warm, glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
