  • 80 g Unsalted Butter
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 150 g All-purpose Flour
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk (for filling)
  • 2 Eggs (for filling)
  • ⅔ cup Sugar (for filling)
  • 50 g Cornstarch
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¾ cup Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • Powdered Sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the choux pastry by heating milk, water, butter, salt, and sugar until boiling. Stir in flour until a ball forms. Cool slightly and mix in eggs one at a time.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread half the pastry on lined baking sheets and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  3. For the cream filling, heat milk until steaming. Whisk together eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract; gradually mix in hot milk and cook until thickened.
  4. Once cooled, spread cream over one layer of choux pastry and top with the second layer. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
