  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼½ cup water

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a cold skillet over low heat until crispy (25 minutes). Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, kosher salt, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne.
  3. In the same skillet, place Brussels sprouts cut side down; cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in ¼ cup water; cover again and steam for another 5 minutes until tender.
  5. Add the hot honey mixture and reduce heat; stir until well coated for about 2 minutes.
  6. Crumble bacon over the top, mix gently, and serve immediately.
