Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 110 g (1/3 cup) honey
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on one side (4-5 minutes). Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Pour this sauce over the chicken in the pan.
  5. Increase heat to bring to a boil; simmer for 4-5 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve hot over boiled rice, garnished with parsley and chili flakes.
