  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp and white)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp milk for extra thickness
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 3 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown; transfer to a plate.
  4. Lower heat; add remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and milk; let simmer for about two minutes.
  6. Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  7. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, then return the chicken to the skillet; mix well.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
