  • 3/8 cup chopped fresh figs (about 2 figs)
  • 3/8 cup fig jam
  • 3/8 cup old-fashioned oats or chopped walnuts
  • 8 Tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • pinch fine sea salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • ground cinnamon (for sprinkling on top)
  • sliced fresh figs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, spices, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, olive oil, sour cream, and eggs until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; fold in figs, fig jam, and oats.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before frosting with honey cream cheese mixture.
