  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups chunky salsa
  • 6 corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream and chopped cilantro (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning.
  3. Layer tortillas in the baking dish, then half of the beef mixture, half of the salsa, and one cup of cheese. Repeat layers.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 5 minutes to brown the cheese.
  5. Allow to rest before serving topped with sour cream and cilantro.
