  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 8 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • Red chili flakes (to taste)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing chicken stock, honey, dark soy sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl; set aside.
  2. Dry chicken thighs with paper towels. Mix potato starch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on a plate before coating the chicken.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden brown, about 7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic and white parts of green onion in the same pan until golden.
  5. Add the prepared sauce to the pan and cook until thickened. Return chicken to coat with the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
