  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce or Gochujang
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 pounds ribeye or top sirloin steak, sliced thin
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 4 fried eggs
  • Fresh cucumber ribbons

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili sauce, rice wine vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger until smooth.
  2. Add the beef slices to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to overnight).
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef in batches for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. To assemble each bowl, place cooked rice at the bottom, top with bulgogi beef, add a fried egg on top, and garnish with cucumber ribbons.
