  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag (12 oz) Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate mini baking chips and/or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray six mini fluted tube cake molds with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter until fluffy; then add brown sugar and mix well. Incorporate eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and sour cream to the butter mixture until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips gently.
  5. Fill each mold with batter using a ziplock bag for easy piping.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
