  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup reduced-fat milk
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur or brandy
  • 2 cups blackberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour a 10" ceramic flan or quiche pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the sifted flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, lightly beat the eggs and mix in the heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and orange liqueur.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Scatter blackberries on top and dot with butter pieces.
  6. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
