  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 large apples (peeled, cored, diced)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; stir in the diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet with space in between each fritter.
  6. Bake for about 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Allow fritters to cool slightly before drizzling with glaze and serve warm.
