  • 2/3 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup plain non-dairy milk (e.g., almond)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup plain gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (optional for spice)
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, non-dairy milk, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. Coat cauliflower florets in the batter, then toss in breadcrumbs until evenly covered.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C).
  5. Cook in batches for 10–13 minutes until crispy.
  6. While cooking, prepare the sauce by sautéing minced garlic and ginger in oil before adding soy sauce, honey/maple syrup, gochujang, and other ingredients.
  7. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch mixed with water; then combine with cooked cauliflower before serving.
